Wellbeing, Health and Independence

The Newcastle Wellbeing and Health Partnership holds responsibility for taking forward the wellbeing, health and independence theme in our Sustainable Communities Strategy.

In summary, this work involves making sure that every adult is enabled to:

  • be healthy
  • have a good quality of life
  • make a positive contribution
  • exercise choice and control
  • be free from discrimination or harassment
  • have economic wellbeing
  • maintain personal dignity

Newcastle City Council, all local NHS organisations, other statutory organisations, voluntary organisations and community groups are involved in the work.
